Kids enjoy a higher sense of confidence and self-esteem when they get a task done successfully. The same is true for youngsters and adults. If you allow your kids to color on a regular basis, they will have a heightened sense of pride and accomplishment.
2. Imaginations Run Wild: While decorating these pages, kids will often times experiment with various colors. How many times have you seen a smurf colored princess? With dinosaurs, kids will let their imaginations run wild, as they may be talking to the dinosaurs, or about the dinosaurs, or telling stories while they color in the page. Building an imagination is one of those important life skills in a well rounded individual that should be encouraged at a young age.
Most teachers are familiar with the long delay between when students complete a worksheet, and when they get their correct page. Most don’t get anything back until the next day or the next week. In the meantime, the students continue to practice incorrectly. It’s no surprise that immediate feedback has been shown to increase student performance and diligence. Unfortunately, math worksheets have no mechanism for keeping a student from moving to the next problem until after they demonstrate understanding.
Identical worksheets are needed prior to using the Consolidation feature, creating a sum across worksheets or using the Paste Special Math features to create summary worksheets. By grouping the worksheets first and then adding rows or columns, changing headings and other formatting operations, you ensure that the spreadsheets remain uniform.
Worksheets consists of four primary parts. A cell is the most commonly used part within an Excel workbook. Cells are where users can enter data to be used within formulas and charts later on. Each Cell consists of a Column and a Row. A column is all the cells in one vertical line in the worksheet. Column names can be seen across the top of a worksheet. A row is a collection of cells in line horizontal across a worksheet. Row names or Values can be seen scrolling down to the left of the worksheet.
You can design and color whatever you want to: While some of the books have limited designs, there are others that let you design something on your own as well. If you are more of a creative and artistic person, you might want a book that lets you be independent enough, in terms of designs.
Help kids learn about patterns by using colored hearts or a series of Valentine’s Day pictures. Introduce them to simple patterns; for instance red heart, green heart, red heart. From here you can make the patterns more complex by making them longer or including a higher degree of variation.
